Alice Ann Herring, 87, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016 in McGregor, Texas. Graveside service will be Monday, Feb. 15, at 3 PM at McGregor Cemetery with Mr. Charles E. Sivess, Jr. and Mr. Charles Wade Sivess officiating. Alice was born November 15, 1928 to A. L. and Nellie Parker in Linden, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Waco. Alice graduated from Linden High School in Linden, Texas. She earned her bachelor's degree from Texas Women's University in 1950. Then upon graduation she went to Port Arthur to teach. Alice met Wade, the love of her life, when he came to Port Arthur to teach in September 1950. They married in married in December 1950 and celebrated 58 wonderful years together. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Alice leaves behind to cherish her memories, her adopted family, Chuck, Cherie, Blair, and Wade Sivess.
