Arthur Lee "Bud" Beckett, 62, of McGregor, Texas, passed away on February 16, 2020. A memorial service will be announced later.

Bud was born on September 1, 1957, in Gatesville, Texas to Robert Lewis Beckett and Mary Catherine (Featherston) Beckett. He grew up in Gatesville, attended McGregor High School, and entered the Army National Guard. Bud married Linda Rule on October 25, 2008 and made his home in McGregor. He was a truck driver for 18 years and worked for Don Bohne. Bud loved fishing and hunting, with his brother, and he had an exceptional talent for making trees made out of copper. He always had a special bond with his brothers and sister.

Preceding Bud in death were father, Robert Beckett; mother, Mary Smith; stepfather, Jack Smith; brother, Billy Beckett; grandparents, Robert Lee Featherston and Pearle E. Featherston; and Almand Arthur Beckett and Estellea J. Beckett.

Survivors include wife, Linda Beckett; son, Christopher James; daughter, Teresa Ann; stepchildren, Vanetta Susan, Van Landreath, Melissa Ann, Tonya Renee, Curtis Dean, Stacie Lee; 20 grandchildren; sister, Rebecca Ann Otero and husband, Jose; brothers, Jimmy Lewis Beckett and wife, Melissa, Jack Clayton Smith and wife, Julia; aunts, Martha James, Nancy Thompson, Ruby Barnard, Betty Hooker; uncles, Ray, Leslie, J.W. Featherston, and John Mark Featherston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
