Bonnie Louise (Winkler) Murr, 94, died Wednesday, January 3, 2024 in Cypress, TX. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Cole Funeral Home with Reverend David Ray officiating. Interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery in McLennan County, TX. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Cole Funeral Home.

Bonnie was born on September 20, 1929, the daughter of the late Fred and Nell Winkler in McGregor. She graduated from McGregor High School and attended 4C Business College. On July 22, 1952 she married Jack Murr in Waco. They lived in Portland, TX while raising their family and returned to McGregor after retirement.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in McGregor where she was active in the caring committee and the United Methodist Women.

Bonnie was also a member of the Garden Club and her hobbies included embroidery, reading, gardening, and bird watching.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Dorothy, and son, Robert.

She is lovingly remembered by son, Bruce Murr and wife, Karen of Portland; one daughter, Barbara Ann Murr of Cypress; one granddaughter, Robyn Murr of Corpus Christi; one niece and nephews.
