Clive Ballard of McGregor died Tuesday afternoon, December 11, 2012, at the age of 65. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 17, 2012, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel, 1113 West Fifth Street, McGregor with Richard Allen officiating. Interment will follow in McGregor Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday at Cole Funeral Home. Mr. Ballard was born December 28, 1946, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the son of the late Milton Auther and Jacquline Audrey (Bowyer) Ballard and graduated from Robuain Technical High School. In 1972, he moved to McGregor from Waco and married Betty Jo Rendahl May 20, 1972, at College Avenue Baptist Church in McGregor. More recently, he has been employed by Texas Star Security in Waco as a security guard. He has enjoyed various types of mechanical work to include working on cars, being with his family and rabbit hunting. Also preceding him in death was a sister, Joan Johnson.Survivors include his wife Betty Ballard of McGregor; three sons, Floyd Ballard and girlfriend, Misty of McGregor, Barry Ballard and wife Jennifer of Bruceville, Gary Ballard and wife Heather A. of Oklahoma; a brother, Bradley Milton Ballard and wife Maueen Ione of Robinson; a sister Carol Ann Barnes of Waco; thirteen grandchildren, Hunter Ballard, Haley Ballard, Chase Ballard, Holly Ballard, Lathan Ballard, Mason Ballard, Bailey Ballard, Garrett Salas, Megan Cruz, Destiny Salas, Kelsey Salas, Blake Scott and Zoey Salas.
