Eliseo was the youngest of seven children and he spent his younger days working on his family's farm. He helped raise goats, cows, and horses, as well as growing corn on the family farm. Eliseo continued to raise goats, in his later years, as a hobby. It reminded him of his family farm in Mier y Noriega, NL, Mexico.

Eliseo was blessed with a large and loving family. He was a devoted husband and father and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. His family was his most prized possession. He was a devoted Christian and gave his life to the Lord.

Eliseo was preceded in death by his father, Jesus Rodriguez Rico; mother, Altagracia Rodriguez Espiricueta; and daughter Salena Mariana Rodriguez.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Marie Rodriguez; eight children, Maria De Jesus Robles and husband, Ernesto Robles, Noraida Ayala and husband, Fernando Daniel Ayala, Altagrasia Gaona and husband, Cesar, Luis Gaona, Lorenso Rodriguez and wife, Maricela Benitez, Bibiana Rodriguez, Oracio Rodriguez, Baldomero Rodriguez, Eliseo Rodriguez Jr.; eight grandkids; and one on the way.
