Ismael Rubio Quiroga, 72, of McGregor, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017 in McGregor.Funeral service will be Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 2 PM at Cole Funeral Home with Father Boniface Onjefu officiating and interment to follow in McGregor Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 31, from 6-8 PM with Rosary at 7 PM. Ismael was born December 26, 1944 to Pedro and Lucinda (Rubio) Quiroga in Mercedes, Texas.He was a longtime resident of McGregor and Farmer.Ismael was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Eloy Quiroga and Kenny Quiroga.Survivors include his daughters, Esperanza Quiroga of McGregor, Consuelo Cruz and husband, Lucio of Mercedes, Esmeralda Gonzales and husband, Jorge of Oglesby, Vanessa Castillo and husband, Alex of McGregor; grandchildren, Fabian, Kristy, Alvaro, Angel, Jose, Jorge, Joel, Jayda, Jasmine, Lizette, Alyssa and Alex; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth; sisters, Imelda Grando and husband, Danny of Mercedes, Elizabeth Quiroga of Mercedes and Hilda Quiroga of San Benito; brothers, Oney Quiroga and wife, Molly of Mercedes, Frank Quiroga and wife, Maria of Mercedes, Leo Quiroga and wife, Maria and Peter Quiroga wife, Rosa of Mercedes; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
