Jewell Doty, 80, of McGregor, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014 in a Waco hospital. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, August 8, 2014 at Cole Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Crawford Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 7th at the funeral home.Mrs. Doty was born on December 15, 1933 in Coryell County to Otha William and Mayme Velma (Gaston) Burt. She loved to fish, play bingo, gamble and her dog Elvis but her true love was being with her children and grandchildren; she was a very loving woman. Mrs. Doty was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Charles and one brother and one sister.Survivors include her sons; Charles Doty, Jr. of Cisco and Alan Doty of Eddy, daughters; Pamela Taylor of McGregor, Anita Bagwell of Gatesville and Jacque Gaston of Missouri City, sister; Dorothy Calderon of Waco, brothers; Otha Kermit Burt of Moody and Emuel O'Neil Burt of Austin, 9 grandchildren and several greatgrandchildren.
