Joyce M. Pitts, 69, of Bruceville, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015 in a Temple nursing home. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, March 30, 2015 at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor with the Reverend Paul Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Roberts Cemetery in Troy, Texas. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, on Sunday, March 29th at the funeral home.Mrs. Pitts was born on November 16, 1945 in Rosebud, Texas to A.D. and Nancy (Pope) Fikes. She married Levi Allen Pitts on August 2, 1960 in Cego and they celebrated over 40 wonderful years together until his death on August 17, 2000. She loved to paint, work in her garden and grow roses. Mrs. Pitts was a member of Faith Assembly of God in Rogers. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, children; Stephen, Douglas, Kathy and Delores, 1 brother and 2 sisters.Survivors include her brother; Dewey Fikes, sisters; Bonnie Kilgore and Pauline Boggs, grandchildren; Christi and Misty and numerous nieces and nephews.
