Kathryn Diane "Sis" Finkenbinder Sims Britton age 75 of McGregor, Texas passed away on January 27, 2023. Diane was born in Gatesville, Texas on October 23, 1947 to J.B. and Nada Finkenbinder. She married the love of her life Joe Sims on June 10, 1966 and they had one son, Joel Sims.

Diane was an avid crocheter and made numerous baby hats she delivered to the hospitals every month. She crocheted many blankets and doilies for people in her community as well. She also loved visiting the residents at the nursing home.

She loved to do the chicken dance wherever she was, as it was just one of her many ways of making people smile and laugh. She was a devout Christian, had a good heart, and was always willing to help anyone in need. She had a passion for always seeing other people happy.

Diane joins her parents, J.B. and Nada Finkenbinder, her husband Joe, her son Joel, and her brothers, Kermit and Harold Finkenbinder in Heaven.

Left to cherish her memories are her sisters, Candy Lewallen, Lisa Schermerhorn, and Lola Brinegar; granddaughters, Whitney and Katelyn Sims; great-granddaughter Kari "Bubbles" Sims; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor with visitation from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., graveside to follow at McGregor Cemetery. Please come as you are, as this was one of Diane's requests.
