Lavida Woodard of Oglesby died Sunday night, April 21, 2013, at the age of sixty-nine. Lavida was born May 17, 1943, in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of the late William Louis and Ruby (Dyer) Huseman and attended South San High School in San Antonio, Texas. Later, she moved to the Central Texas area to Bellmead. While in the Waco area, she was employed in the housekeeping business for twenty years. More recently, Motel 6 employed her. In 2000 she moved to Oglesby from Bellmead. Throughout her life, she enjoyed having a good time and horses. Her personal horse was named Pepper. Also preceding her in death was a brother, Wade Collins Huseman. Survivors include her soulmate, Johnny Davis; three sisters, Donna Harrison, Cathy Cabello, Linda Robbins and many nephews and nieces.
