Lucille Pieper died Monday, February 13, 2012, at the age of 93. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 20, 2012, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel, 1113 West Fifth Street, McGregor with Reverend Allen D. Hughes, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul Memorial Park in Crawford. Lucille was born April 13, 1918, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of the only child of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Kallas) Letz where she was a 1936 graduate of Foreman High School. In 1939, she married John Kimbauer in Chicago who preceded her in death December 26, 1968. In 1947, she came to Texas and lived in Waco before moving to McGregor in 1959. On June 27, 1969, she married Lonnie Pieper at Zion Lutheran Church in McGregor. After thirty-one years of marriage, he preceded her in death March 17, 2011.Mrs. Pieper was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church as long as her health permitted, where in earlier years was a member of the ladies circles. She also enjoyed knitting and spending time with her daughter.Survivors include a son Richard Kimbauer of Arizona; a daughter Cheryl Dunn of China Spring; three grandchildren, John E. Kimbauer, David H. Dunn and wife Hoaly, Kristine M. Hughes and husband Phillip; three great grandchildren, Dylan Hughes, Han Bui, Cuong Bui; two great great grandchildren, Preston Bui and Jayden Bui.
