Nicolas Salas, Jr., 24, of McGregor, passed away Friday, June 5, 2015. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2015 at Saint Eugene Catholic Church with Father Boniface Onjefu as celebrant. Interment will follow in McGregor Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 10th at Cole Funeral Home, Rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM.Mr. Salas was born on December 22, 1990 in Waco to Maria Magdalena (Jaimes) and Nicolas Salas, Sr. He loved McGregor football and was a big Cowboy fan. Uncle Tio Nico was very awesome; his nieces and nephews loved him very much and he loved them the same. He owned and operated Big Star Construction. Nicolas loved everybody and would give his shirt off his back if anyone needed it, he would help anyone. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Tibursia and Cipriano Jaimes, grandmother; Isabel Salas Hernandez, uncles; Onorio Salas Hernandez and Vicente Jaimes, cousin; Arturo Jaimes, Jr., Shirlyn Salas, Ostorgia Salas, and best friends; Secar Lopez and Junior Martinez. Survivors include his parents; Maria Magdalena and Nicolas Salas, Sr., grandfather; Isebel Salas, brothers; Ignacio Salas and Rudy Salas, sisters; Veneranda Salas, Viridiana Salas and her husband, Ines Ortega, Azucena Salas and her husband, Jaime Martinez and Santa Elena Salas and her husband, Agustin Aguirre, nieces and nephews; Iris, Noel, Destiny, Ignacio, Jr., Isabelle, Sophia, Breana, Chantal, Ivan, Evelyn and Diego and numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
