Raymond E. Wiechering, 84, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 22nd, at 10:00 a.m., at Cole Funeral Home, McGregor, Texas. Visitation will be Thursday, April 21st, from 6-8:00 p.m., in the Cole Funeral Home Chapel.Mr. Wiechering was born in McGregor, Texas on June 11, 1931. He graduated from High School in Houston, Texas and had an Associate Degree from MCC.Raymond married Violet Barton on June 14, 1952, in Christiansburg, Virginia, and they were married for 63 years. He was a laboratory supervisor at Hercules, and worked for Hercules for 43 years.Mr. Wiechering was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church for 50 years. His favorite things were fishing and dove hunting. He loved working outdoors, and square dancing.Raymond was preceded in death by his daughters, Martha Ann Wiechering, and Amy Elaine Kolar.Survivors include his wife, Violet; daughter, Lorie Lynn Molina and husband, Art, of Waco; grandchildren, Katie Lynn Kolar, Kourtney Ann Kolar, Joshua Andrew Molina, Zachary Ray Molina, Mallorie Elizabeth Zander; and numerous nieces and nephews.
