Robert Lee Allman, 66 of Moody, Texas passed away on January 14, 2017. Bob was born and raised in Moody, Texas by his loving parents Louise and Donald Allman. He was an offensive lineman for the Moody Bearcats and loved football. He went on to the University of Texas where he majored in Business. Bob loved his Texas Longhorns and never stopped supporting them even if they had a hard year. He also resided in Austin, Waco, Atlanta, and Dallas-Fort Worth as a hard-working retail businessman and store manager. He enjoyed mentoring and encouraging his employees and gave selflessly to them to help them get to the next level. Bob also enjoyed music, concerts, and travelling. Dad had a great sense of humor, which he kept even to the very end. He reminds us that even during our hardest moments, we all need to take some time to laugh. He had a close and tender relationship with his brother Douglas Allman and his sister-in-law Tommy Sue Nelson. Bob will be missed greatly by his children, Robin Elizabeth Pooler and Drew Allman, and their spouses Bryan and Maggie respectively. Grandpa Bob was loved by his grandchildren Nathan, Avery, Payton, and Merrick and will be greatly missed for his "hey kiddo" and his interest in what they loved. A memorial service will be held at the Church of Christ in Moody on Saturday, January 21, 2017, 11am.
