Robert Glen Matthews went peacefully to be with the Lord on Friday, February 7, 2014 at the age of 75. Robert was born in Dawson, Texas to parents Robert (Bob) Allen and Bessie Dawson.

Robert married Zella Jean Matthews on October 15, 1975 in Athens, Texas and they were married until her passing in July of 2009.

Robert is survived by his son, John Paul Matthews of Waco, Texas and his children.

Visitation will be held at Cole Funeral Home on Sunday, February 9 from 2pm to 4pm. He will be laid to rest in Dawson Cemetery, Dawson, Texas.
