Vernie L. Farris went to be with his Lord and Savior, November 10, 2013. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Cole Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 Thursday, November 14, 2013, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel, 1113 West Fifth Street, McGregor with Reverend Gary Tull officiating. Interment with military honors will be 2:00 P.M.Thursday at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.Mr. Farris was born May 29, 1922.Survivors include his wife of seventy years, Bobbie; a son Lee Farris and wife Genie; a daughter Carol England; two brothers, Edgar Farris and wife Gladys, Ellis Farris; a sister, Doris Trammell; a granddaughter, Toni Decman and husband John; grandsons, David England, John England; great granddaughters, Lexee Decman, Jillian England, as well as many nieces and nephews.
