William Aaron Pate, age 60 of Crawford, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023 in Waco, Texas. Graveside service with Masonic Rites will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Crawford Cemetery in Crawford, Texas. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 18, 2023 at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor, Texas.

Aaron was born on July 13, 1963 to Lee and Mary Ann (Schandler) Pate in Clifton, Texas.
He was a longtime resident of Crawford, Texas. He married the love of his life, Gayle Connally on April 10, 1982. Aaron worked as fuel Technician. He was a member of Crawford Masonic Lodge 585. Aaron was an outdoorsman. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Gayle Pate of Crawford; sisters, Vickie Pate of Crawford, Billie Gilbert and husband, Kenneth of Lorena; sons, Christopher Lee Pate and wife, Angela of Gatesville, David Aaron Pate of Crawford; grandchildren: Faith, Kolton, Jameson, Julia, Destiny, and Alexa; nephews, Andrew Gilbert and Michael Gilbert; and a host of friends.

Pallbearers: Brian Gilchrest, Ross Gilchrest, Robie Bain, Kenneth Torres, Kenny Butts, Thomas Alexander, Andrew Gilbert, Michael Gilbert and Curtis Shelton.
