Wiloma Lanier, 91, of McGregor, passed away Friday, February 27, 2015 in a Hewitt nursing home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Cole Funeral Home with the Reverend Ray Fulenwider officiating. Interment will follow in Crawford Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, on Monday, March 2nd at the funeral home.Mrs. Lanier was born on August 12, 1923 in Cottle County, Texas to Zack and Addie (Lemons) Pelley. She married Winfield Lanier on July 12, 1941 in Childress, Texas and they celebrated over 65 wonderful years together until his death on April 16, 2007. Mrs. Lanier was the youngest of 9 children; they were a very close family. She loved people. Mrs. Lanier loved to fish and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Crawford. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 brother and 7 sisters and her son-in-law; Wallace Pugh.Survivors include her daughter; Sherry Pugh of Crawford, granddaughter; Lisa Pierce and her husband, Shawn of West and great grandchildren; Hallie Monkres of West and Hagan Pierce of West.
